Tyre Performance Technology — Netherlands

Maximum
performance
from every tyre.

TPT is a company that focuses on extracting the maximum potential of tyres. Whether you are in motorsport, looking for insights into street car tyres, or running a transport fleet — we help customers understand and optimise their tyre use through independent testing, data-driven analysis, and hands-on engineering.

Our services

What TPT does

TPT offers a range of services — all built on a deep understanding of tyre compound behaviour and a tyre-first approach to engineering. From compound testing to surface grip mapping, every service focuses on one thing: getting more out of your tyres.

Core method
TPT001 Compound Wear Models
Using the TPT001 — our own proprietary compound testing method — we create full compound wear models for any tyre. The model maps friction coefficient across the full lifespan of a tyre, combining mechanical wear, thermal aging, and stint duration into a matrix your engineers can use directly.

For street car and truck tyres, this is how we independently compare brands on safety, cost, and environmental impact. For motorsport, it is the foundation of strategy, qualifying preparation, and every other service we offer.
Motorsport
Trackside Engineering
TPT works trackside as data engineer, performance engineer, race engineer, and driver coach. Our approach is different: we start with the tyre compound and work outward, giving teams insight that a purely data-driven approach often misses.

This tyre-first method is effective even where large sensor budgets or extensive datasets are not available. Compound wear models, IR temperature data, and driver feedback are combined into clear, actionable strategy before, during, and after every session.
Equipment rental
IR Temperature Sensor Kit
Want to know more about what your tyres are doing without investing in expensive sensors? TPT offers a complete, plug-and-play infrared tyre surface temperature kit for rent — including AIM data logger, GPS sensor, independent battery, and wireless receiver.

Available as a standalone rental, or with a TPT engineer included for a track day, test day, or race weekend. You get the data and the expertise to make sense of it.
Passenger cars
Street Car Tyre Testing
The TPT001 method reveals what happens to a passenger car tyre across its full lifespan — not just when it is new. In independent testing of three top-market all-season tyres, the tyre with the best initial grip dropped to the worst performance when fully worn.

We test all-season, summer, and winter compounds independently and without commercial ties to any manufacturer. Results are delivered as compound wear models suitable for OEMs, research institutions, and passenger car lease fleets.
Fleet & trucks
Fleet Tyre Selection
For transport companies, tyre selection affects driver safety, fuel consumption, and how much rubber your fleet deposits into the environment every kilometre. With new Euro 7 regulations making rubber deposit a formally measured parameter for the first time, independent data on this is more important than ever.

TPT independently compares tyres on safety, annual cost per trailer, and environmental impact. In a recent comparison for a fleet of 150 trailers, the right tyre choice saved €318 per trailer per year — and cut rubber deposit in half.

New technology
TPT Grip Box — Surface Grip Mapping
The TPT Grip Box is a new device developed by TPT that maps the grip of solid surfaces — asphalt, concrete, and other road surfaces. It produces detailed heat maps of surface grip, showing where grip is higher and lower across a track, road, or any paved area.

For racing teams, this means knowing where on track the grip is available before the session starts. For municipalities, infrastructure managers, and facility operators, it is a tool for assessing the wear state and safety of roads, parking garages, bicycle paths, and public spaces.

The Grip Box will be available for sale and rental.
Why TPT

Independent.
Tyre-first.

No commercial ties
TPT has no relationship with any tyre manufacturer. Every test result and recommendation is free from commercial influence — which is the only way independent testing has value.
Full lifespan, not just new
The differences between tyre brands are often most significant at the end of a tyre's life — precisely where conventional testing stops. TPT measures the full story, from brand new to fully worn.
A different approach
Where most engineers start with car data and treat the tyre as an output, TPT starts with the tyre and works outward. It finds things other approaches miss — and it works even where large datasets are not available.
Environmental impact measured
Rubber deposit per kilometre is a real, measured test parameter in every fleet comparison. With Euro 7 now requiring this as a formal measurement, that data is more relevant than ever — and TPT is one of very few parties who produce it independently.
"The tyre is the only part of the car in contact with the road. Everything that matters happens right there."
Most tyre decisions are made on purchase price, brand reputation, or a test performed on a brand-new tyre. TPT measures what actually happens across the full lifespan — and the results are often not what anyone expected.
